British American Tobacco sets up new business to develop non-tobacco nicotine products

Tuesday 5th April 2011, posted by admin

British American Tobacco confirmed today that it has established a company that will focus exclusively on the "development and commercialisation of innovative regulatory approved nicotine products".

The company says that "Nicoventures aims to provide adult smokers with a range of alternative products - currently unavailable on the market - that will offer them much of the experience they expect to get from a cigarette but without the real and serious health risks of smoking".

Oh dear. So a tobacco company is going full out to compete with big Pharma. If even they are turning against their own products then there is no hope for us smokers who have been loyal to them for a lifetime. Bad news, very bad news.

Shame more of them don't start standing up for those of who who do enoy smoking tobaco such as Philip Morris http://www.news.com.au/national/cheeky-buggers-big-tobacco-launch-campaign-against-anti-smoking-policies/story-e6frfkvr-1226031535298
