A year before MPs voted to ban smoking in all enclosed public places, Forest chairman Lord Harris of High Cross issued a passionate challenge to the Chief Medical Officer to justify his claim that passive smoking is a serious threat to non-smokers. Eloquently written and still worth reading. Also published as the foreword to Prejudice & Propaganda (above).
