Key Priorities

Forest's mission is to protect the interests of adults who choose to smoke or consume tobacco in its many forms. In particular we work to:
  • debunk some of the myths about smoking 
  • counteract the “denormalisation” of smoking
  • stop or reduce the rate at which further restrictions on smoking are introduced in the UK and beyond
  • lobby politicians to amend public smoking bans 
  • establish closer links with other smoker-friendly groups at home and abroad
  • build support among smokers and non-smokers and other similarly threatened groups
  • highlight the increasingly intrusive nature of Big Government in the lives of private individuals
