A MAJOR feature of the new FOREST website is our online magazine featuring interviews, features, comment and much much more.
To kick start the magazine we have included a handful of articles from our old print magazine Free Choice - Interviews, for example, with the likes of FOREST patron Antony Worrall Thompson and Kenneth Clarke, former Chancellor of the Exchequer now vice-chairman of British American Tobacco.
For the first time, we feature an interview with chain smoking rebel Felix Dennis plus an illuminating debate between FOREST chairman Lord Harris and one of Britain's most outspoken anti-smokers, Lord Laird.
Other highlights include an insight into cross-Channel shopping circa December 2002 (ie after the Government announced that Customs was increasing its guideline from 800 to 3,200 cigarettes); up-to-the-minute Comment on smoking-related issues; a series of Smoker's Diaries by guest writers including Lauren Booth and Iain Gately, author of La Diva Nicotina: How Tobacco Seduced the World; Simon Clark's FOREST Notebook; plus Reviews of art and literature of interest to smokers.
Check out too our Culture section, featuring the History and the Humour of smoking plus Quotes from smokers such as Antony Worrall Thompson, Jeremy Clarkson, David Bowie and many more. All this plus a special interactive Message Board (see Community) that will enable smokers, tolerant non-smokers and anti-smokers to discuss and debate a wide range of smoking-related issues online.
FOREST's online magazine will be updated all the time so keep reading - and don't forget to write to our Mailbox (not to be confused with the Message Board) with your response to the comments and opinions expressed online.
